As a non-selective school, we are very proud of the tremendous success achieved by our children, each fulfilling their own potential during their time at Lyndhurst School. The school is dedicated to finding the right senior school for each individual child, and the senior school choices are carefully made by parents with consultation with the school. We are proud that 100% of our Leavers have achieved places at their senior schools of choice.
In Year Six, the children are prepared for specific entrance and scholarship requirements. There is an expectation that all children will remain at Lyndhurst School for the full seven-year journey from 4-11.
At the beginning of Year Five, we hold a chat with parents to share our knowledge and support with parents guiding them about ‘Future Schools’. The meeting provides information about the process of preparing for secondary transfer. Meetings with parents and senior members of staff will take place supporting them to finalise their choices.
Over the last few years, 100% of our Leavers have achieved entry into their first-choice senior schools, including Farnborough Hill and Salesian College both in Farnborough, Luckley House and Holme Grange in Wokingham, LVS in Ascot, St Nicholas in Fleet and Tomlinscote, Collingwood and Kings International in Camberley. Some of those children were successful in achieving academic scholarships to some of these schools, including Farnborough Hill and Luckley House. We are dedicated to support you and your child throughout the process of selecting and the application to a senior school.
