Meet the Team

Miss Charlotte Goswell – Reception Form Teacher | QTS

I’m Miss Goswell, and I’ve been lucky enough to spend the past nine years working in a variety of schools, gaining a wide range of experience along the way. My journey into teaching was driven by coaching special needs children trampolining.  Over time, I’ve found myself gravitating more and more toward working with younger children, as I’ve seen first hand how important these early stages are in shaping their love for learning.

I absolutely love putting the magic into teaching—creating experiences that make learning fun, exciting, and meaningful. I enjoy immersing children into a story and have been known to be bring the stories Peter Pan and Rapunzel to life. One of my favorite moments this year has been planning  a STEM day, where we dived into hands-on projects that sparked curiosity and brought out the wonder in our Lyndhurst family. It’s always such a joy to watch them explore, experiment, and problem-solve together.

Oh, and here’s a fun fact: I once wrestled an alligator. It’s a long story, but definitely one I’m happy to share if you’re ever curious!

Miss Gemma Collins – EY Lead Practitioner | EY NQF Level 5

My Name is Gemma Collins. I have been working in early years education for 28 years. I have worked within various settings including managing Day Nurseries, working as a Teaching Assistant supporting special needs children and supervising after school clubs and holiday camps. For the past 13 years I have been working in Independent Schools as a Pre-Prep Teacher or Lead of a Pre-School class.

I have always wanted to work with children since I was at school myself. I particularly enjoy preparing children for formal schooling. I also love working with like minded people who are all aiming for the same goal. Which is giving the children in our care the best possible experience at the beginning of their school journey.

I have loved working closely with the Reception class within Little Lyndhurst. We often work together, including Community Afternoons, topic based workshops, celebrating together, productions and free play sessions. This collaboration is beneficial to both age groups and we have seen such wonderful and positive results from working and learning together.

I love History, reading and music. I use to be in my school’s rock band! That was along time ago…!
