On Tuesday 20th June, we held our annual sports afternoon at Aldershot Garrison Athletics Stadium, the event brings together pupils, teachers and parents to celebrate sportsmanship and physical fitness. It is an exciting event for everyone to showcase their skills.
The afternoon was based around a traditional athletics event with both track and field competitions along with some less traditional races including the teacher dress up race and the obstacle race. All the pupils competed for their houses winning points from their races. This year was a closely fought event between all four houses with Yorktown taking the win for the second year running.
We must not forget the most competitive event of the afternoon, the parent house tug of war. This year it was a fiercely fought battle taken by Cambridge parents.
Well done to all the pupils for their great efforts and the parents for the fantastic support and a big thank you to all of our wonderful Games and PE department for organising such a brilliant event!
