Year 1 & 2 enjoyed a fantastic day out at Marwell Zoo this week. The sun shone all day – all the children did so well in the heat. It was an action packed day as we made our way round to the various animal enclosures. We saw Tigers, Penguins, Rhino’s and Giraffes to name a few. It was wonderful for all of the children to see up close the animals we have spoken about in our topic lessons. The Marwell Zoo staff were on hand to give us some fun facts and information on the zoo and animals and were took part in some workshops throughout the day. Plenty of shade filled pit stops, an al fresco lunch and the coach trip home – all part of the fun of a good school trip!
