We have worked well with Lyndhurst School for well over a decade and recognise how well prepared the pupils who transition to Salesian College are. These young men have consistently demonstrated exceptional social and academic development in Lyndhurst, which has equipped them to adapt seamlessly to their new environment.
At Lyndhurst, they have been nurtured to become happy, well-rounded individuals. Their ability to integrate and thrive at Salesian College is a testament to the strong foundation laid during their primary years. These students not only excel academically but also embody the values of respect, resilience, and responsibility.

The pupils that have joined Luckley House from Lyndhurst School are a remarkable group, showcasing dedication and passion across a variety of activities. Several have demonstrated a strong commitment to the theatre arts, excelling in their work and pushing themselves to reach their full potential. Their ability to make new friends and contribute positively to the classroom environment is truly commendable.
Others, like one pupil involved in the CCF, have thrived through extracurricular experiences, displaying growth and enthusiasm in both expeditions and sports. Regularly representing the school in football, rugby, and cricket, these pupils develop valuable skills that benefit them not only in sports but also in their academic pursuits. Overall, they embody the spirit of dedication, teamwork, and excellence.

I consider putting my children into Lyndhurst as one of the best decisions I have ever made. The school is not elitist, genuinely takes children of all levels of ability, and then make it so no one sees the difference. All children are celebrated, all children achieve to their highest ability. The teachers there are the kind of people who genuinely love their jobs – everyone at the school is passionately committed to your children, led by an outstanding head master who is extremely involved with each child and values building emotional intelligence as highly as academic achievements. The range of subjects, activities and experience is unrivalled. All the children partake in sports, shows, play a musical instrument, the wrap around care is educational as well as fun. Neither of my children, have ever, in the last four years at Lyndhurst said they didn’t want to go to school today, I know that the start Lyndhurst has given them will set them up for life and as a parent I am eternally grateful.

Our three-year-old has settled in wonderfully and loves the school. The teachers and assistants are well organised, friendly, and create an excellent learning environment. The schedules are varied with plenty of opportunities for outdoor playing and learning. My wife and I also love the proximity to the prep school and the interactions the nursery can have with bigger kids especially during after school. The 8am to 6pm care is very convenient for two working parents.
Pre-Reception Parent
A fantastic school! My son is now into his second year at Lyndhurst (reception) and it is one of the best decisions that we have made for him (and us). The school’s before and after care is second-to-none, and along with the wonderful teachers and staff means that my son very much enjoys his school day. His academic progress has been rapid, and he has access to a very wide variety of sports and extra-curricular activities. It has been an excellent choice of school.
