Virtual Author Workshop – Marion Deuchars

French – Fantastique!
In French this week Year 3 have been learning to read, and write, the introductory questions and answers that we’ve covered orally up till now. We can find out a person’s name, how they’re feeling, how old they are and where they live : )
Drama – Magical Woodland
This week in drama Year 1 worked on an ensemble drama piece set in an enchanted forest. The children became giants, fairies and pixies, and all the characters worked together to have a magical woodland party.
Harvest Festival at Lyndhurst
Like around the world Lyndhurst celebrated harvest in their assembly today. As they entered school in the morning they were greeted by representatives from The Besom and had an opportunity to admire a display of their kind donations. Christmas cards – The Judging!
Never too early to get prepared for Christmas! The children had worked so hard on their Christmas card designs, this means that the judging gets harder and harder. Mr Rudkin, Mrs Alder and Mrs Dodds had their work cut out picking a winner from each year group and overall school winning design. Watch this space…
Music – Lower school singing
Students in lower school singing have been enjoying getting back together in a safe environment to enjoy some of their favourite songs and learn some new ones too! Mrs Peacock has been impressed with the effort and smiles that all of the children have brought to the hall since the start of term.
French – Transport
In French this week, Year 2 have been learning about transport, and (optimistically!) saying how we are going to Paris…can you guess the method of transport from this photo?
Oscar says….
Oscar says….. Taking part is fun! Oscar had great fun and felt very important helping Mr Rudkin with both the striking and fielding and fitness after school clubs this week. The children played a variety of games focusing on ball skills and hand eye coordination. Oscar made sure everyone had fun and was on hand…
