Art – Africa
In Art this week the children had great fun creating African animals and huts continuing their African adventure. Mrs Dodds put together a lovely display in the reception area so we could all admire their hard work.

Huge thanks to the Team at Seymour’s Camberley for donating footballs to Lyndhurst School this week. Coinciding with fabulous weather, we can put them to good use practicing for sports fixtures, school matches, and improving our football skills. Thank you!
Viking Day for Year 3
Year 3 enjoyed a day full of Viking adventure! There were some fabulous costumes and they really got into the role play and action packed day. The children learnt what daily life was like for Vikings and tried their hand at making pots. They unearthed some Viking treasures and prepared to go to battle!
Ancient Egypt Day for Year 4

Reception – Ugly Bug Ball
Reception class have been exploring nature, bugs and all things creepy crawly! They have been listening to the Ugly Bug Ball song and were inspired to create their very own bug masks.
Chick-en Update
Our Lyndhurst chicks are all grown up! Thank you once again to Mrs James-Roll for keeping us up to date with how they are doing. They do look very happy strutting in the sunshine.
Swimming – Survival Skills
This week some of our year 6 swimmers had the opportunity to practice some swimming survival skills. The had great fun swimming in their pyjamas and learning how to jump in safely and attract attention. Spanish – Year 6
Spanish, Year 6 have been writing about rooms and furniture, consolidating what we have learned about adjectival agreement and position, using colours and size. There is a lot of grammar to remember, but we’ve been doing really well!
Drama – The Gruffalo
In drama Year two have been looking at incorporating sound into their performance of the story of ‘The Gruffalo’, working as an ensemble to perform the story in an imaginative way, using their voices to add atmosphere to the presentation. They produced some wonderful work and loved becoming all the different characters in the story.
Topic Art
